Our Mission
Our mission
is to sterilize all the cats and
dogs that we can to help curb pet
overpopulation in our area.
Because this is our mission, we
are able to dedicate every square
foot and surgical instrument to
spaying and neutering. Because we
don't have to support other
hospital services (radiology,
pharmacy, exam rooms, medical
wards, etc.) through high surgery
fees, we are better able to keep
our costs down. This in turn
enables us to provide services
that are more affordable and
therefore, available to more
people so we can make a greater
impact.
Our
Team
We
utilize skilled volunteers and
paid technical staff to work as a
team. Leading the charge is Steven
M. Silberman, D.V.M. Dr. Silberman
has worked for over 20 years as a
veterinary practitioner doing
everything from treating wildlife
(snakes, bears, wolves, cougars,
etc.) to hundreds of nights as an
emergency room veterinarian to
performing thousands of surgeries
for shelters. He and wife Diane
(and their two children) have
their own “herd” of rescued
animals including cats, dogs,
fish, and rodents.
Our
Facility
Affordable
Spay Neuter Clinic is located in
the lower level of Diane's
Discount Pets and Adoption Center
in Pottstown. The Clinic houses
treatment facilities, a dual
surgical suite and recovery area.
We perform pre-surgical exams on
all pets before surgery, provide
quality anesthesia and pain relief
medications, and utilize only
sterilized surgical instrument
packs for each procedure. Read
FAQs
for more on
pain management. We insure a low
stress, high quality surgical
experience for rapid recovery and
minimal complications. Click below
